Requirements

Everything you need to qualify as a SlaGo driver.

Must own or lease a premium EV (Tesla, Rivian, Polestar, etc.) — 2021 or newer
Valid Texas driver's license
Clean driving record — MVR check required
Criminal background check required (via Checkr) — must pass before activation
Commercial auto insurance or rideshare endorsement required

Background checks protect everyone. Screening is handled through Checkr — a trusted, FCRA-compliant platform used by leading transportation companies. The process is fast, fully digital, and keeps SlaGo passengers and drivers safe.
